Litigation Paralegal

Suki is married with three children; she enjoys being active and being involved with her children’s school and sports activities.  She is a native of Sierra Leone, West Africa but calls Jeffersonville Indiana her home. She finished up her studies at Southern Ohio College where she studied Accounting and Legal Studies.  Her prior experience includes 15 years of Senior Bankruptcy Paralegal with Kruger & Schwartz and Immigration Law with Indus Law Firm.   She enjoys working with Truman Law Firm team and enjoys her job as Litigation Paralegal in Personal Injury Claims. Suki is a member of Graceland Baptist Church.

Teresa Stephenson

Director of First Impressions

Date Hired: Teresa Stephenson was hired on 10/2/2017 as a Pre-Litigation Assistant but when the Director of First Impressions announced she was leaving in January 2018, Teresa conveyed her interest in the position. 

Loving to speak with people and bringing a little sunshine to each person’s day, she felt this was the perfect position for her. 

Previous Experience: The vast majority of Teresa’s experience has been in the healthcare field. Having worked for Clark Memorial Hospital, Jewish Hospital and Floyd Memorial Hospital, however, none have made her love coming to work as much as The Karl Truman Law office.

Before joing the Karl Truman Law Office, Shawn spent 17 years working for the Jeffersonville Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff, Sworn Officer, and Detective in Investiagations Division and Hostage Negotiator. Orginally from Indiana, Clair, joined the Karl Truman Team in June of 2019. She currently resides in Louisville with her partner Max and their Corgi Finn. An proud alumni of Our Lady of Prvidence High School and Penn State University. You can typically find her disscussing or reading about politics, current events, social reform, or public ploicy; listening to true crime podcasts, trying (and sometimes failing) to learn how to cook, learning new languages, or her nose in a book. 

Wilma Carter

Medical record Assistant 

Before joing the Karl Truman Law office team in February of 2019, Wilma spent more than a decade in healthcare as a Patient Liasion. Personal Injury law was new to her, but the transition was very smooth, and she loves being a part of such a dynamic team that makes a differnce in people's lives during their time of need.
