Kentucky is a “strict liability” state as it pertains to dog bites and dog attacks.  Kentucky

Revised Statute (“KRS”) 258.245 (4) states: “Any owners whose dog is found to have caused damage to a person, livestock or other property shall be responsible for that damage.”

While Kentucky’s dog bite statute provides a strict liability to protect the innocent, it does have limitations.  It is important to have an attorney look at your case and its particulars.
